LM 21 Lightweight Masonry Mortar

Application Range LM 21

LM 21 Lightweight Masonry Mortar is used to make thermal insulation masonry from lightweight blocks.

This mortar avoids cold bridges in the mortar joints that occur when using conventional mortar.

The following permissible loads apply to masonry structures built with LM 21 and standardised bricks.

2 perm. = 0.5 N/mm2 / > 2 perm. = 0.7 N/mm2

Composition LM 21

LM 21 is a mineral dry mortar premix of mortar group IIa according to DIN 1053 and DIN 18 557 based on:

  • cement
  • lime
  • mineral lightweight aggregates
  • additives to improve workability and adhesion
